Water Restoration and Reconstruction after Pipe Burst in New Haven County Home

In Connecticut, its quite usual for pipes to freeze and burst, especially in older homes that may have sub-par insulation and were built in an era of different building codes. When the pipes burst in this home during a week of single digit temperatures, and then warmed up enough to let the water flow, the home was hit by a lot of water.

Walls and ceilings had been soaked and started to fall. The hardwood floor was saturated to the point that it began to buckle. The kitchen was also affected and was gutted.

Our restoration team removed all of the damaged materials and dried out the home. When the moisture in the home was at a normal level, our contractor and his crew came in and rebuilt the home. The walls and ceilings were replaced, a new kitchen built and new hardwood floors were installed.
