Hot Weater Heater Burst in Basement of Milford, CT Home Causes Water Damage
After the hot water heater malfunctioned, causing flooding in the basement of this Milford home, SERVPRO was called in.
Afterinspecting the home and formulating a restoration plan, we ordered a dumpster for the non-salvageable contents. To protect the unaffected areas of the house, we set up a containment barrier while the work was ongoing. The carpeting, vinyl flooring and subfloor, which were all beyond repair, were removed and discarded.
Following the demolition of the damaged contents of the home, our team extracted the water from the hard surfaces. We then used air movers, air scrubbers and dehumidifiers to reduce the moisture in the air to safe levels.
Our crew restores hundreds of homes a year after water damage. While this job was fairly typical for us, we understand that for the homeowners the flooding was upsetting and disruptive to their lives. In every job that we do, our goal is to remove the water and clean your home with sensitivity and as quickly as possible so that our customers can go back to their normal lives.
