Water Damage Restoration in Woodbridge After Storm

When storm front that brought tornadoes, microbursts and thunderstorms hit Connecticut in May, this Woodbridge home was affected. A tree fell on the home, causing damage to the roof and subsequent water damage to the house.

The roof required tarping to protect the home from further damage.  To avoid cross contamination when removing the wet kitchen ceiling, we set up a containment barrier.

We removed wet insulation, ceilings and walls from the home and disposed of them. One of the main concerns when a home has had a flood is that with water present, mold can grow very quickly (within 48 hours). After we had removed the wet material, we dried out the home with dehumidifiers and air movers, we applied an antimicrobial.  We also used a HEPA vacuum to filter the air in the home.
